Nikos Tachtsidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th play minute Nikos Tachtsidis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vrasidas Kastigios. 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, AN.ARTAS's Iason Pekos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marios Giannaros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Vrasidas Kastigios made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nikos Tachtsidis sent off a good shot on target. FC Barcelona's Marios Giannaros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Pekos in the 17th minute of play. Alekos Koutsokefalakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marios Giannaros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manos Ikonomidis fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Manos Ikonomidis a yellow card for diving instead. Alekos Koutsokefalakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manos Ikonomidis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, AN.ARTAS's Kostas Ntaliardos tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Iason Pekos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Koutsokefalakis came free, but Marios Giannaros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Ikonomidis in the 47th minute of play forced AN.ARTAS's goalkeeper Vrasidas Kastigios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Iason Pekos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Koutsokefalakis came free, but Marios Giannaros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63rd play minutes Alekos Koutsokefalakis shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Marios Giannaros and just under the crossbar into goal. Vrasidas Kastigios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleftherios Karntasis in the 68th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Alekos Koutsokefalakis took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Marios Giannaros to make any attempt to save it. Marios Giannaros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michalis Kastanakoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Alekos Koutsokefalakis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. AN.ARTAS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marios Giannaros made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Iason Pekos sent off a good shot on target. After 83 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Manos Ikonomidis. Marios Giannaros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alekos Koutsokefalakis went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Nikos Tachtsidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vrasidas Kastigios was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The FC Barcelona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AN.ARTAS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
