Foiníkion BC's Paris Christoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Kamitsis in the 7th minute of play. If Themos Kamitsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valerios Vasiliadis's late challenge caught a Foiníkion BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valerios Vasiliadis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AGE OF WAR getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Valerios Vasiliadis hit a great ball. Andreas Travezeas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Evripidis Megas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 minutes, Thymios Krios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foiníkion BC and the AGE OF WAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Thymios Krios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerasimos Kasimis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dionysis Katsaros made a huge save. Themis Tzouroudis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dionysis Katsaros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, AGE OF WAR's goal looked a bit too open when Themis Tzouroudis came free, but Dionysis Katsaros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Dionysis Katsaros managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Foiníkion BC's Andreas Travezeas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

After a defensive mix-up in Foiníkion BC's zone, Evripidis Megas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paris Christoulis came out of the goal and Evripidis Megas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AGE OF WAR booed when Foiníkion BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Travezeas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Evripidis Megas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AGE OF WAR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evripidis Megas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Gerasimos Kasimis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionysis Katsaros. AGE OF WAR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerasimos Kasimis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foiníkion BC's goalkeeper Paris Christoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Themos Kamitsis struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Paris Christoulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AGE OF WAR. If Evripidis Megas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerasimos Kasimis in the 76th minute of play forced AGE OF WAR's goalkeeper Dionysis Katsaros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Veniamin Chalkias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paris Christoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evripidis Megas in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Evripidis Megas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paris Christoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerasimos Kasimis struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Dionysis Katsaros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foiníkion BC.
