Spectators: 7880 (Terracing: 5911, Seating: 1812, VIP seats: 157) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Apostolos Spyrou started the match with the kick off. Alex Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eutichios Papadamoulis in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexis Malezas during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexis Malezas hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Apostolikas Stratopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Peridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trifon Peridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fokas Vorres in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eutichios Papadamoulis in the 16th minute of play forced Trikala FC's goalkeeper Alex Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fokas Vorres fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trikala FC's protests and gave Fokas Vorres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Fokas Vorres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Xerocabos F.C.'s zone, Apostolos Spyrou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trifon Peridis came out of the goal and Apostolos Spyrou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Pirani came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xerocabos F.C.'s Alexis Malezas. But to his dismay, Alexis Malezas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Trikala FC's zone, Alexis Malezas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Pirani came out of the goal and Alexis Malezas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Fragiskos Mantarinakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Peridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Eutichios Papadamoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xerocabos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eutichios Papadamoulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Trikala FC's Alex Pirani got control of the ball when Alexis Malezas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fragiskos Mantarinakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Trifon Peridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eutichios Papadamoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Alexis Malezas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alex Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 43 minutes, Alexis Malezas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xerocabos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Malezas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Xerocabos F.C.'s Alex Pirani threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eutichios Papadamoulis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eutichios Papadamoulis made a kick off. Trikala FC's Alex Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Malezas in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Xerocabos F.C.'s goalkeeper Trifon Peridis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fragiskos Mantarinakis. Trifon Peridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolos Spyrou in the 61st minute of the match. Alex Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Malezas in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Trikala FC booed when Xerocabos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paschalis Karageorgiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fragiskos Mantarinakis charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fragiskos Mantarinakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fragiskos Mantarinakis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eutichios Papadamoulis in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Pirani saved Trikala FC from getting behind. Alex Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Malezas in the 73rd minute of play. Alex Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Malezas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Theocharis Papanikolopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xerocabos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Theocharis Papanikolopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alexis Malezas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Malezas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Pirani having to make a save. Eutichios Papadamoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes of play, Xerocabos F.C.'s Eutichios Papadamoulis made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Xerocabos F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
