Spectators: 7755 (Terracing: 5818, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alkis Sotiriou got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Aris kavalas's Fondas Agapoulis got control of the ball when Fragiskos Kalabosis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Apostolos Spyrou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trikala FC's Fragiskos Kalabosis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aggelos Kelepouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Aris kavalas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogenis Kosmoulis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Fragiskos Kalabosis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trikala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fragiskos Kalabosis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fondas Agapoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolos Spyrou in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Fragiskos Kalabosis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fondas Agapoulis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sokratis Traganos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Fondas Agapoulis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Renos Katsigiannis. Fondas Agapoulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apostolos Spyrou in the 44th minute. Alex Pirani came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Aris kavalas's Alkis Sotiriou. But to his dismay, Alkis Sotiriou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apostolos Spyrou to make the kick off. If Alkis Sotiriou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Grigoris Stavroulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apostolos Spyrou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fondas Agapoulis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Apostolos Spyrou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fondas Agapoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fokas Vorres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apostolos Spyrou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fondas Agapoulis having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Trikala FC's Fragiskos Kalabosis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fondas Agapoulis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Aris kavalas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trikala FC:s goal. Fokas Vorres's late challenge caught a Aris kavalas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fokas Vorres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Trikala FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fokas Vorres to maneuver through the defense. Alkis Sotiriou struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Alex Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aris kavalas. Fondas Agapoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Kalabosis, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Apostolos Spyrou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aris kavalas's Fondas Agapoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Kalabosis in the 86th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Sokratis Traganos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aris kavalas and the Trikala FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Trikala FC booed when Aris kavalas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sokratis Traganos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Apostolos Spyrou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fondas Agapoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fragiskos Kalabosis in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fondas Agapoulis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Fragiskos Kalabosis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fondas Agapoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trikala FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
