Spectators: 7624 (Terracing: 5797, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aimilios Kromlidis started the match with the kick off. Stathis Pagonakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannis Kirmitzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Katsikopodaros in the 12th minute of play forced Mégkla's goalkeeper Omiros Chatzinathanail to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th match minute, Skafνdhi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Katsikopodaros to maneuver through the defense. Kostas Kalpadakis took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stathis Seremetidis. Stathis Seremetidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Stathis Pagonakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Omiros Chatzinathanail tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stathis Pagonakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omiros Chatzinathanail having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Kostas Kalpadakis could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Stathis Seremetidis however easily saved by the left post. In the 30th minute, Mégkla's Giannis Pachopoulos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Giannis Pachopoulos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mégkla protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Giannis Pachopoulos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 31st match minute, Mégkla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giannis Pachopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Giannis Pentarakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omiros Chatzinathanail read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Skafνdhi FC's Stathis Seremetidis got control of the ball when Giorgos Kostis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omiros Chatzinathanail. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. Stathis Pagonakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omiros Chatzinathanail having to interfere. In the 45th minute of the match Ntinos Zouros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omiros Chatzinathanail skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Skafνdhi FC's zone, Kostas Kalpadakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stathis Seremetidis came out of the goal and Kostas Kalpadakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Kleanthis Karabelopoulos got free with Omiros Chatzinathanail in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omiros Chatzinathanail showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stathis Pagonakis in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Giannis Kirmitzas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mégkla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A hard shot by Ntinos Zouros from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Omiros Chatzinathanail's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 67th minute, Stathis Pagonakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Kleanthis Karabelopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Menios Leras was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Menios Leras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Omiros Chatzinathanail throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stathis Pagonakis in the 78thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 82nd minute Nikos Katsikopodaros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omiros Chatzinathanail saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mégkla's Omiros Chatzinathanail proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Mégkla from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Mégkla got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Kirmitzas. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omiros Chatzinathanail, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kleanthis Karabelopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mégkla's Omiros Chatzinathanail proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mégkla from getting a goal against them. Mégkla's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
