Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Takis Katsoulis started the match with the kick off. Lambros Tselios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Dermitzoglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Takis Peridis fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PaokEuosmou's protests and gave Takis Peridis a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes PaokEuosmou got a freekick which was hit by Takis Peridis. After 7 played minutes Spaniαkos got a freekick which was hit by Trifon Tsioufis. PaokEuosmou's Giannis Dermitzoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Trifon Tsioufis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of PaokEuosmou's Pipis Adamakis. Pipis Adamakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Takis Katsoulis in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lambros Tselios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, PaokEuosmou's goal looked a bit too open when Eleftherios Eleftherakis came free, but Pipis Adamakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Spaniαkos's Trifon Tsioufis got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Spaniαkos's Filippos Prasanakis got a free kick in the 30th minute. PaokEuosmou's Giannis Dermitzoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Katsoulis in the 43rd minute of play forced Spaniαkos's goalkeeper Lambros Tselios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Filippos Prasanakis fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spaniαkos's protests and gave Filippos Prasanakis a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleftherios Eleftherakis was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Spaniαkos got a freekick which was hit by Christos Michailidis. If Trifon Tsioufis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleftherios Eleftherakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pipis Adamakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trifon Tsioufis in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Giannis Dermitzoglou put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lambros Tselios. After a rather tough play, Spaniαkos's Theagenis Dimou got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes in the game, Takis Katsoulis fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lambros Tselios having to interfere. Pipis Adamakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trifon Tsioufis's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Spaniαkos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
