The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Achilleas Pirovolidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Achilleas Pirovolidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Louis Dimitrakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute Giorgos Kostoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louis Dimitrakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christoforos Dimitroulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelios Kotsolis in the 8th minute of play. Giorgos Kostoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Louis Dimitrakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelios Kotsolis in the 15th minute of play forced ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's goalkeeper Christoforos Dimitroulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themos Papadopoulos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionysis Nikas in the 24th minute of play forced Megaplαtanon FC's goalkeeper Louis Dimitrakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sotiris Teliadis's late challenge caught a ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sotiris Teliadis helped the player get up and apologised. When Megaplαtanon FC's Michalis Alexopoulos in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stelios Kotsolis was the one to do the kick off. Fivos Kokkinakis's late challenge caught a ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fivos Kokkinakis helped the player get up and apologised. Fivos Kokkinakis was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fivos Kokkinakis kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Christoforos Dimitroulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michalis Alexopoulos in the 62nd minute. Michalis Alexopoulos hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Louis Dimitrakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achilleas Pirovolidis in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Giorgos Lakis made a precise shot to the right of Louis Dimitrakis. Megaplαtanon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Alketas Chronidis's late challenge caught a Megaplαtanon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alketas Chronidis helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dionysis Nikas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Megaplαtanon FC's Louis Dimitrakis. 4-0. When Michalis Alexopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Megaplαtanon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michalis Alexopoulos couldn't finish the play. Michalis Alexopoulos took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christoforos Dimitroulis. Christoforos Dimitroulis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Michalis Alexopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Dimitrakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achilleas Pirovolidis in the 93rd minute of the match. Megaplαtanon FC's Louis Dimitrakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achilleas Pirovolidis in the 97th minute of play. Louis Dimitrakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Kostoulis in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the ΧΑΤΖΗΚΥΡΙΑΚΕΙΟ PIRAEUS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
