Lambros Tselios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fotis Anastasakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trifon Tsioufis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Kostas Loubakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ολυμπιακός Πειραιώς's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kostas Loubakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eleftherios Eleftherakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes of play, Ολυμπιακός Πειραιώς's Kleon Semeloglou made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lambros Tselios was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the match, Ολυμπιακός Πειραιώς's goal looked a bit too open when Eleftherios Eleftherakis came free, but Vrasidas Leptokaridis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fotis Anastasakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Loubakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lambros Tselios having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute Kostas Loubakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lambros Tselios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Christos Michailidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spaniαkos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ολυμπιακός Πειραιώς the free kick. Christos Michailidis hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Kleon Semeloglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Spaniαkos's Lambros Tselios got control of the ball when Giannis Tatsos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ολυμπιακός Πειραιώς's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
