In the 4th minute, one of PaokEuosmou:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PaokEuosmou. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for AEK SFC. Adamantios Kakouros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pipis Adamakis. 1-0. Fanis Petriniotis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. AEK SFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fondas Stergiotis during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fondas Stergiotis hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Adamantios Kakouros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AEK SFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PaokEuosmou the free kick. 15 minutes into the game, one of AEK SFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for PaokEuosmou. Charalambos Kostarakis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iordanis Prinianakis. 1-1. Fanis Petriniotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petros Margaritis in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pipis Adamakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pipis Adamakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Petriniotis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Petros Margaritis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, PaokEuosmou's Charalambos Kostarakis got a free kick in the 39th minute. Pipis Adamakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petros Margaritis in the 44th minute. If Fanis Petriniotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Fanis Petriniotis made the kick off in the second half. Petros Margaritis succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Petros Margaritis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Fanis Petriniotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pipis Adamakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AEK SFC booed when PaokEuosmou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lambros Gianniotis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petros Margaritis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pipis Adamakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Giannis Dermitzoglou came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the PaokEuosmou fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Dermitzoglou couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Takis Katsoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PaokEuosmou's supporters crossed their fingers, but Takis Katsoulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giannis Dermitzoglou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Iordanis Prinianakis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Takis Katsoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Iordanis Prinianakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
