Eleftherios Eleftherakis started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Fanis Petriniotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lambros Tselios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Eleftherios Eleftherakis put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Iordanis Prinianakis. Eleftherios Eleftherakis struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Iordanis Prinianakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. AEK SFC's Iordanis Prinianakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleftherios Eleftherakis in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Fanis Petriniotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lambros Tselios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spaniαkos's Lambros Tselios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fanis Petriniotis in the 29th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Theagenis Dimou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iordanis Prinianakis. Theagenis Dimou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Lambros Tselios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Petriniotis, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Petros Margaritis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lambros Tselios having to make a save. If Fanis Petriniotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fanis Petriniotis made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Spaniαkos got a freekick which was hit by Theagenis Dimou. Eleftherios Eleftherakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordanis Prinianakis having to interfere. Lambros Tselios came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by AEK SFC's Fanis Petriniotis. But to his dismay, Fanis Petriniotis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Trifon Tsioufis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fanis Petriniotis in the 69th minute of play forced Spaniαkos's goalkeeper Lambros Tselios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, AEK SFC's goal looked a bit too open when Trifon Tsioufis came free, but Iordanis Prinianakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eleftherios Eleftherakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to AEK SFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Fondas Stergiotis hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Trifon Tsioufis sped through AEK SFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iordanis Prinianakis. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Spaniαkos had won after a very even match.
