But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apostolis Tsoros couldn't finish the play. Prodromos Poulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Tsoros, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Aris Mizeropoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aris Mizeropoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Dhιlka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Mizeropoulos to maneuver through the defense. Savas Moustakas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikos Kazanas in the 18th minute. Minas Mallous sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charalambos Kastanis in the 23rd minute of play forced Iraklis's goalkeeper Prodromos Poulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Charalambos Kastanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Dhιlka's goal looked a bit too open when Prodromos Kostikos came free, but Savas Moustakas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Minas Mallous's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Savas Moustakas was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Prodromos Poulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charalambos Kastanis in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Miltiadis Kirmizas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iraklis and the Dhιlka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miltiadis Kirmizas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Dhιlka's Savas Moustakas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minas Mallous in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Miltiadis Kirmizas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Savas Moustakas. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 42nd match minute, Iraklis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fokas Leontaras to maneuver through the defense. Dhιlka's Antonis Agapiadis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iraklis. Prodromos Poulis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apostolis Tsoros went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes, Dhιlka's Aris Mizeropoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Prodromos Poulis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dhιlka reached it. Miltiadis Kirmizas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Dellios took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Savas Moustakas. Savas Moustakas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Charalambos Kastanis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iraklis's Minas Mallous got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Savas Moustakas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotiris Dellios in the 71st minute of the match. When Lambis Papagiotopoulos fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dhιlka's protests and gave Lambis Papagiotopoulos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dhιlka's Lambis Papagiotopoulos got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Miltiadis Kirmizas scored 4-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Savas Moustakas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Minas Mallous struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Savas Moustakas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraklis. Savas Moustakas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Minas Mallous in the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Dhιlka's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Dellios came free, but Savas Moustakas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miltiadis Kirmizas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Dhιlka's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Dellios came free, but Savas Moustakas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Minas Mallous had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotiris Dellios struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Savas Moustakas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraklis. 92 minutes into the match, Iraklis's Miltiadis Kirmizas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Savas Moustakas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Savas Moustakas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Minas Mallous in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Iraklis were the better team. Iraklis's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
