The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eutichios Potamianos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charis Zachopoulos in the 9th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Litohoron FC's zone, Manos Serelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimosthenis Nifitsas came out of the goal and Manos Serelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimosthenis Nifitsas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iason Tsirilidis went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 33 minutes into the match, Litohoron FC's goalkeeper Dimosthenis Nifitsas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anastasios Georgakis. Litohoron FC's Dimosthenis Nifitsas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Litohoron FC from getting a goal against them. If Konstantinos Velos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panerythraikos AO's Manos Serelis got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Charis Zachopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Litohoron FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charis Zachopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manos Serelis to make the kick off. Eutichios Potamianos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantinos Velos in the 54th minute. Giannis Frantzeskos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Eutichios Potamianos was a little too slow when Charis Zachopoulos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-2. Charis Zachopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eutichios Potamianos having to interfere. Dimosthenis Nifitsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manos Serelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Charis Zachopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giannis Frantzeskos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Konstantinos Velos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eutichios Potamianos was a little too slow when Charis Zachopoulos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Konstantinos Velos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Litohoron FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Konstantinos Velos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eutichios Potamianos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eutichios Potamianos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charis Zachopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Giannis Frantzeskos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panerythraikos AO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Litohoron FC the free kick. The supporters of Litohoron FC booed when Panerythraikos AO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Frantzeskos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Litohoron FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
