After having played for 13 minutes, Manos Serelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panerythraikos AO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manos Serelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anastasios Georgakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoris Panagopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Babbis Kopanaras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitris Sobolos, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Manos Serelis got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Soulis Trofantos was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Manos Serelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Soulis Trofantos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. If Anastasios Georgakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manos Serelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anastasios Georgakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Soulis Trofantos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grigoris Panagopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eutichios Potamianos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Panerythraikos AO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SALAMINA:s goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eutichios Potamianos. SALAMINA's Soulis Trofantos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasios Georgakis in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, SALAMINA's Grigoris Panagopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eutichios Potamianos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of SALAMINA booed when Panerythraikos AO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manos Serelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Panerythraikos AO getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dimitris Karamanos hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Manos Serelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Soulis Trofantos was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Aggelos Tabakos had several of the Panerythraikos AO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Eutichios Potamianos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Soulis Trofantos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manos Serelis in the 90th minute of the match. SALAMINA were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Panerythraikos AO's much stronger midfield.
