After 6 played minutes Veloϊlion got a freekick which was hit by Veniamin Psarros. Juhani Eskelinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anestis Zisimopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Apostolis Fragopoulos put in a rough tackle. In the 7th minute, one of Vrondádhos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vrondádhos FC. After a rather tough play, Veloϊlion's Buba Diop got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 22nd minute, Anastasios Akrividis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vrondádhos FC's Stefanos Peropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Velouchiotis in the 27th minute of play. Anestis Zisimopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyriakos Stefanopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefanos Peropoulos having to interfere. In the 40th minute Thanos Velouchiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefanos Peropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyriakos Stefanopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefanos Peropoulos having to make a save. Anestis Zisimopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anestis Zisimopoulos made a kick off. Stefanos Peropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyriakos Stefanopoulos in the 55th minute of play. Thanos Velouchiotis struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Stefanos Peropoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veloϊlion. In the 62nd minute, Anastasios Akrividis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyriakos Stefanopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Veloϊlion's Thanos Velouchiotis got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 71 in the game by Anastasios Akrividis from a close distance when the talented Juhani Eskelinen managed to make a qualified save. Veloϊlion's players were relieved. Veniamin Psarros kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Vrondádhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thanos Velouchiotis came free, but Stefanos Peropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kyriakos Stefanopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Kyriakos Stefanopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefanos Peropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
