Christos Zervoudakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renos Stathiadis in the 3rd minute of the match. Konstantinos Velos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Konstantinos Velos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charis Zachopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Christos Zervoudakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Giorgos Gitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Litohoron FC and the Deviliakos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Deviliakos FC booed when Litohoron FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Gitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Litohoron FC's Charis Zachopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christos Zervoudakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Valentinos Vouzatos charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentinos Vouzatos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Litohoron FC! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Deviliakos FC. Alexandros Zoubadellis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dimosthenis Nifitsas. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Vassilis Giannakopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikos Sousanis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Charis Zachopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Konstantinos Velos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Zachopoulos in the 43rd minute of play forced Deviliakos FC's goalkeeper Christos Zervoudakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikos Sousanis's late challenge caught a Litohoron FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikos Sousanis helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Deviliakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Sousanis. After 48 played minutes, Litohoron FC's Grigoris Macheras shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christos Zervoudakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Litohoron FC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikolas Gaitanidis to make the kick off. Nikolas Gaitanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konstantinos Velos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Zervoudakis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deviliakos FC's Vassilis Giannakopoulos got a free kick in the 59th minute. Grigoris Macheras was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dimosthenis Nifitsas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikolas Gaitanidis's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Christos Zervoudakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renos Stathiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Giotis Michas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Zervoudakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charis Zachopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christos Zervoudakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charis Zachopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th match minute, Deviliakos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandros Zoubadellis to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Grigoris Macheras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute of the match Giorgos Gitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christos Zervoudakis skillfully saved the ball. Christos Zervoudakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charis Zachopoulos in the 83rd minute of play. Konstantinos Velos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christos Zervoudakis having to make a save. Charis Zachopoulos had several of the Deviliakos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Christos Zervoudakis as he didn't even see the shot coming. Vassilis Giannakopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Grigoris Macheras sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Deviliakos FC's Christos Zervoudakis didn't even have to move. The Deviliakos FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Litohoron FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
