The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyriakos Stefanopoulos in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christos Zervoudakis saved Deviliakos FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Deviliakos FC's zone, Kyriakos Stefanopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Zervoudakis came out of the goal and Kyriakos Stefanopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandros Seretis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Veloϊlion fully deserved thier win.
