The referee ignored BARCA's protests and gave Petros Kavallieratos a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nikiforos Theofilou to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Minas Ntaifas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikiforos Theofilou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pavlos Liolidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavlos Liolidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikiforos Theofilou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Errikos Melonakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Errikos Melonakos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Pavlos Liolidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Molendikó FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Molendikó FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
