Stefanos Pikoulas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kostas Balidis. Xνdhia BC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stathis Korakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menelaos Papaloukas having to interfere. Stergios Karvounis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stergios Karvounis in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Balidis saved Xνdhia BC from getting behind. Kostas Balidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stergios Karvounis went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Petros Telakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandros Pachidis during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Real Madrid eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
