The crowd rose to their feet as Alekos Papaemmanouil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Konstantinos Thomakis. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. With a little luck, Panιrion's Konstantinos Thomakis got control of the ball when Petros Telakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, one of Real Madrid:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 28th minute, Ignatios Restemis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petros Telakos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Konstantinos Thomakis firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Stergios Karvounis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Alexandros Pachidis a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandros Pachidis hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Real Madrid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tolis Sotirakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Panιrion's Fanis Karagiannis to a score. 1-2 in the 67th minute. The supporters of Panιrion booed when Real Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Bougatsakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Christos Sarris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
