Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paris Zachariadis started the match with the kick off. Stavros Stamatelakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stavros Stamatelakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giannis Taxiarchis having to interfere. Giannis Taxiarchis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavros Stamatelakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Koutoufianα BC's zone, Stavros Stamatelakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giannis Taxiarchis came out of the goal and Stavros Stamatelakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Giannis Taxiarchis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Katsabas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Filippos Koutromichalis's late challenge caught a Pieria fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filippos Koutromichalis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Koutoufianα BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filippos Koutromichalis to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Giannis Nikolaou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Taxiarchis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filippos Koutromichalis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stavros Stamatelakos in the 19th minute of play forced Koutoufianα BC's goalkeeper Giannis Taxiarchis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giannis Taxiarchis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stavros Stamatelakos went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Giannis Taxiarchis came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Pieria fc's Stavros Stamatelakos. But to his dismay, Stavros Stamatelakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Giannis Taxiarchis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stavros Stamatelakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Nikolaou in the 33rd minute of play forced Koutoufianα BC's goalkeeper Giannis Taxiarchis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Paris Zachariadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marinos Klapadakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Babbis Seretis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Filippos Koutromichalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Koutoufianα BC defense, Stavros Stamatelakos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giannis Taxiarchis. The Koutoufianα BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giannis Taxiarchis should have stopped the shot. After the first half Pieria fc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giannis Nikolaou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stavros Stamatelakos got free with Giannis Taxiarchis in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Paris Zachariadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Giannis Nikolaou recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giannis Taxiarchis. Giannis Nikolaou showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Stavros Stamatelakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Pieria fc booed when Koutoufianα BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Nikolopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Koutoufianα BC's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Nikolaou came free, but Giannis Taxiarchis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Koutoufianα BC's Paris Zachariadis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Manos Thomopoulos in the 72 minute of the game. The supporters of Pieria fc booed when Koutoufianα BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Kopsalakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christodoulos Villas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pavlos Sougias hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Christodoulos Villas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Koutoufianα BC's Giannis Taxiarchis didn't even have to move. Giannis Nikolaou was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Pieria fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Giannis Taxiarchis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefanos Katsabas in the 84th minute of play. If Giannis Nikolaou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makis Zacharatos's late challenge caught a Koutoufianα BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Makis Zacharatos helped the player get up and apologised. Makis Zacharatos hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Pieria fc's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
