In the 7th minute, Lazaros Dimitratos made a precise shot to the right of Ilias Kakaris. Palio Kavalas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Charalambos Passalis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Periklis Kifonidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Lazaros Dimitratos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilias Kakaris. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. After 20 played minutes DownTown Boys got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Papadamakis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Periklis Kifonidis in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charalambos Passalis saved DownTown Boys from getting behind. After 21 minutes, Stratos Papadamakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DownTown Boys and the Palio Kavalas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes DownTown Boys got a freekick which was hit by Stratos Papadamakis. After 23 minutes, Avraam Patemtzis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DownTown Boys and the Palio Kavalas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to DownTown Boys getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Avraam Patemtzis hit a great ball. Louis Papanikolas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 25th minute Periklis Kifonidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Passalis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charalambos Passalis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Periklis Kifonidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. DownTown Boys's Charalambos Passalis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Periklis Kifonidis in the 28th minute of play. DownTown Boys's Miltiadis Karageorgiou shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ilias Kakaris but with some difficulty. Christos Kalaboukas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Ilias Kakaris skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Charalambos Passalis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makis Schinas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Periklis Kifonidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, DownTown Boys's Giannis Geronimidis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 48th minute Louis Papanikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Passalis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Periklis Kifonidis made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Palio Kavalas FC got a corner. DownTown Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Louis Papanikolas ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Palio Kavalas FC's corner Louis Papanikolas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Charalambos Passalis quite easily take care of the ball. Avraam Patemtzis struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ilias Kakaris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DownTown Boys. Lazaros Dimitratos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Christos Kalaboukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palio Kavalas FC's Ilias Kakaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lazaros Dimitratos in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Periklis Kifonidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lazaros Dimitratos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Kakaris having to interfere. Palio Kavalas FC's Ilias Kakaris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Kalaboukas in the 73rd minute of play. Christos Kalaboukas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ilias Kakaris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, DownTown Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Periklis Kifonidis came free, but Charalambos Passalis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, DownTown Boys's Lazaros Dimitratos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilias Kakaris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute of the match Lakis Blatsios shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilias Kakaris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lazaros Dimitratos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ilias Kakaris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Periklis Kifonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palio Kavalas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Periklis Kifonidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christos Kalaboukas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ilias Kakaris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DownTown Boys's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
