After 4 minutes, Giorgos Michaloliakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Káto Pedhiná FC and the Pieria fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Nikolaou in the 10th minute of play forced Káto Pedhiná FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Sachinidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stavros Stamatelakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Sachinidis having to interfere. If Stavros Stamatelakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Giannis Nikolaou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Giorgos Sachinidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giorgos Michaloliakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pieria fc's Stefanos Katsabas got a free kick in the 21st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Babbis Seretis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Stefanos Katsabas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Alexandros Skatzos struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Babbis Seretis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Káto Pedhiná FC. Babbis Seretis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Michaloliakos in the 29th minute of play. Babbis Seretis made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Alexandros Skatzos sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute, Aris Zounis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefanos Katsabas was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Pieria fc's Stefanos Katsabas got a free kick in the 45th minute. Alexandros Skatzos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Babbis Seretis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Giorgos Michaloliakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Babbis Seretis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giorgos Michaloliakos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Stavros Stamatelakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pieria fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stavros Stamatelakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Babbis Seretis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giorgos Michaloliakos went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alexandros Skatzos struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Babbis Seretis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Káto Pedhiná FC. Pieria fc's Babbis Seretis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandros Skatzos in the 64th minute of play. When Aris Zounis fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pieria fc's protests and gave Aris Zounis a yellow card for diving instead. Aris Zounis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Babbis Seretis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandros Skatzos's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Alexandros Skatzos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giorgos Michaloliakos took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Babbis Seretis. Babbis Seretis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.
