Alexandros Dimopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Larαnia's Giotis Papadimopoulos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Sakis Xidianakis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nikitas Nalbantis. A collision led to Larαnia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fanis Papathomas hit a great ball. Sakis Xidianakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofoklis Theodoridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Vaios Eleftheratos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iraklis Valassis. Iraklis Valassis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaios Eleftheratos in the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandros Krevetzakis got free with Sakis Xidianakis in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larαnia's Sakis Xidianakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Larαnia from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandros Krevetzakis got free with Sakis Xidianakis in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 played minutes Larαnia got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Papathomas. When Sofoklis Theodoridis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Othonoí Stadium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sofoklis Theodoridis couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Alexandros Krevetzakis made a precise shot to the right of Sakis Xidianakis. Larαnia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fanis Papathomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaios Eleftheratos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sofoklis Theodoridis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sakis Xidianakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Larαnia booed when Othonoí Stadium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofanis Paschalidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thanos Triantopoulos during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Thanos Triantopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakis Xidianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sakis Xidianakis saved Larαnia from getting behind. A collision led to Larαnia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Giannis Kalikis hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vaios Eleftheratos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iraklis Valassis. That made the score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. Vaios Eleftheratos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Iraklis Valassis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sofoklis Theodoridis in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sakis Xidianakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sofoklis Theodoridis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Larαnia's goalkeeper Sakis Xidianakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Alexandros Krevetzakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakis Ioannidis kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, Larαnia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fanis Papathomas to maneuver through the defense. Othonoí Stadium's Alexandros Krevetzakis got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Larαnia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
