Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giannis Nikolaou started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the game, Stavros Stamatelakos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kostas Kavaliaratos. Stavros Stamatelakos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Konstantinos Stagos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Seretis having to interfere. Stavros Stamatelakos charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stavros Stamatelakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Toumpa booed when Pieria fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stavros Stamatelakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kostas Kavaliaratos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefanos Katsabas in the 21st minute of the match. Stavros Stamatelakos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Kostas Kavaliaratos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 34th minute, Ilias Roumeliotis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Babbis Seretis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 42nd minute, Ilias Roumeliotis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ilias Roumeliotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toumpa's Diogenis Parmenidis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Konstantinos Stagos was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ilias Roumeliotis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toumpa's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilias Roumeliotis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Babbis Seretis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogenis Parmenidis in the 57th minute of play forced Pieria fc's goalkeeper Babbis Seretis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kostas Kavaliaratos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stavros Stamatelakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostas Kavaliaratos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavros Stamatelakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Ilias Roumeliotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Stefanos Katsabas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konstantinos Stagos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilias Roumeliotis got free with Babbis Seretis in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ilias Roumeliotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alketas Kapetanopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Babbis Seretis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Toumpa's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Toumpa may have spent more time on the ball, but Pieria fc were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
