Christos Kyriakopoulos hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, DownTown Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Vaios Konstantinou came free, but Charalambos Passalis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lazaros Dimitratos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Asteras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christos Kalaboukas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Lazaros Dimitratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Asteras FC's zone, Christos Kalaboukas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaggelos Kakalos came out of the goal and Christos Kalaboukas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lazaros Dimitratos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Evaggelos Kakalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lazaros Dimitratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vaios Konstantinou made the kick off in the second half. Lazaros Dimitratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute, Stratos Papadamakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Christos Kalaboukas could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Evaggelos Kakalos however easily saved by the left post. Christos Kalaboukas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Evaggelos Kakalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Asteras FC's Evaggelos Kakalos got control of the ball when Christos Kalaboukas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaios Konstantinou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charalambos Passalis having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Christos Kalaboukas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, DownTown Boys's Christos Kalaboukas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaggelos Kakalos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. DownTown Boys's Lazaros Dimitratos got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaios Konstantinou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michalis Tsakarelidis in the 93rd minute of play forced DownTown Boys's goalkeeper Charalambos Passalis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
