After 5 minutes of play, KFC red roosters's Valentinos Varveris made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stratos Charalambakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 7 played minutes KFC red roosters got a freekick which was hit by Michalis Bardakis. The crowd rose to their feet as Eutichios Droumalias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Renos Sakallieros. That made the score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. With a little luck, KFC red roosters's Renos Sakallieros got control of the ball when Konstantinos Ouzounidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentinos Varveris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Stratos Charalambakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michalis Kefaloulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Louis Tsoflidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stratos Charalambakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Zαrka got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Ouzounidis. Eutichios Droumalias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Renos Sakallieros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of KFC red roosters booed when Zαrka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Boukouvalas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Michalis Kefaloulis made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the KFC red roosters defense, Eutichios Droumalias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renos Sakallieros. The KFC red roosters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renos Sakallieros should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Nestoras Giannakoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michalis Kefaloulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. When Nikos Lazaratos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Zαrka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Lazaratos couldn't finish the play.
