The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stratos Charalambakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Zelelidis in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Michalis Zelelidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stratos Charalambakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michalis Zelelidis in the 15th minute of the match. Nestoras Giannakoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Michalis Zelelidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stratos Charalambakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valerios Perakoglou's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. If Panagiotis Boukouvalas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25thth minute of the game Valerios Perakoglou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zαrka's Stratos Charalambakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Zαrka getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nestoras Giannakoglou hit a great ball. A hard shot by Leonidas Tebelopoulos from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Valerios Chatzifotis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Michalis Zelelidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Stratos Charalambakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eutichios Droumalias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, DANAOS AE's Petros Karagiannidis got a free kick in the 47th minute. Panagiotis Boukouvalas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Valerios Chatzifotis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Eutichios Droumalias made the kick off in the second half. If Eutichios Droumalias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panagiotis Boukouvalas struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Valerios Chatzifotis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zαrka. In the 62nd minute, Stergios Stelatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes in the game, Michalis Zelelidis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Panagiotis Boukouvalas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerios Chatzifotis having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Zαrka's Eutichios Droumalias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valerios Chatzifotis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Stratos Charalambakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michalis Zelelidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, Zαrka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestoras Giannakoglou to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Michalis Zelelidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DANAOS AE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michalis Zelelidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Panagiotis Boukouvalas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valerios Chatzifotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Zαrka's goalkeeper Stratos Charalambakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valerios Perakoglou. DANAOS AE's Valerios Chatzifotis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eutichios Droumalias in the 89th minute of play. Sakis Kostiadis kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Valerios Perakoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zαrka fans cheered their team off the field, for while DANAOS AE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
