After having played for 4 minutes, Thomas Koliakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Koliakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's Kleanthis Giannakopoulos got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's goalkeeper Grigoris Sakalakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panagiotis Boukouvalas. Lucio Henric struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Stratos Charalambakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Stratos Charalambakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's Edip Uluhan got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Lucio Henric came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the INTERNAZIONALE MILANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Henric couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Thomas Koliakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The referee ignored Zαrka's protests and gave Konstantinos Ouzounidis a yellow card for diving instead. Konstantinos Ouzounidis kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's Andreas Kostarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stratos Charalambakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Kleanthis Tzekos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eutichios Droumalias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Lucio Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zαrka's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kleanthis Tzekos 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eutichios Droumalias in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Grigoris Sakalakis saved INTERNAZIONALE MILANO from getting behind. Andreas Kostarakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stratos Charalambakis was a little too slow when Andreas Kostarakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-6. After 63 played minutes INTERNAZIONALE MILANO got a freekick which was hit by Kleanthis Tzekos. If Kleanthis Tzekos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Henric sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Zαrka's Stratos Charalambakis got control of the ball when Andreas Kostarakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kleanthis Tzekos managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Kleanthis Tzekos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stratos Charalambakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thalis Kazanidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Stratos Charalambakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zαrka's zone, Andreas Kostarakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stratos Charalambakis came out of the goal and Andreas Kostarakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute of the match, Evaggelos Papasotiriou got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stratos Charalambakis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's Lucio Henric got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over INTERNAZIONALE MILANO could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zαrka throughout the match.
