With a little luck, Peristeri A.E's Nikiforos Papacharalabous got control of the ball when Iakovos Irinopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Panos Platonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peristeri A.E's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Platonidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute Stamatis Mantouvalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikiforos Papacharalabous saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panos Platonidis struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Apostolis Kassianidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peristeri A.E. After having played for 20 minutes, Panos Platonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peristeri A.E's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Platonidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panos Platonidis in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apostolis Kassianidis saved Vostina BC from getting behind. Sotiris Aggelidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Panos Platonidis made a precise shot to the right of Apostolis Kassianidis. Vostina BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nikiforos Papacharalabous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iakovos Irinopoulos in the 36th minute of play. Apostolis Kassianidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Platonidis's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Peristeri A.E's Nikiforos Papacharalabous played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Papaloukas in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Panos Platonidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peristeri A.E's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panos Platonidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Errikos Anagnostou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikiforos Papacharalabous read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The Vostina BC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peristeri A.E were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Errikos Anagnostou to make the kick off. Errikos Anagnostou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nikiforos Papacharalabous tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apostolis Kassianidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Platonidis in the 56th minute. If Panos Platonidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vassilis Zervakos lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peristeri A.E! The referee gave Vostina BC a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Markos Sarlis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peristeri A.E's Nikiforos Papacharalabous. 1-1. After 71 minutes of play, Vostina BC's Errikos Anagnostou made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikiforos Papacharalabous was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peristeri A.E's Nikiforos Papacharalabous played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stamatis Mantouvalos in the 76th minute of play. Nikiforos Papacharalabous made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Errikos Anagnostou in the 82nd minute of play. Stavros Alexiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Kassianidis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Errikos Anagnostou in the 91st minute of play forced Peristeri A.E's goalkeeper Nikiforos Papacharalabous to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Peristeri A.E's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peristeri A.E may have spent more time on the ball, but Vostina BC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
