Stamatis Mantouvalos charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stamatis Mantouvalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Vostina BC got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Mantouvalos. Iakovos Irinopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Moustakidis having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Takis Giannou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Vostina BC defense, Anthimos Katsidimas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apostolis Kassianidis. The Vostina BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apostolis Kassianidis should have stopped the shot. Errikos Anagnostou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Moustakidis having to interfere. Errikos Moustakidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iakovos Irinopoulos went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Errikos Anagnostou in the 45th minute of play forced Poliani's goalkeeper Errikos Moustakidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Periklis Tatsos kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Errikos Moustakidis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Markos Sarlis. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themos Pavlakoglou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Vostina BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tasos Zisimopoulos who took care of the corner kick. Vostina BC's Apostolis Kassianidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Vostina BC from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Themos Pavlakoglou got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 62 minutes into the match, Poliani's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Mantouvalos came free, but Errikos Moustakidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Poliani booed when Vostina BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Papaloukas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Anthimos Katsidimas took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Apostolis Kassianidis to make any attempt to save it. Anthimos Katsidimas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Kassianidis having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Anthimos Katsidimas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poliani's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthimos Katsidimas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apostolis Kassianidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iakovos Irinopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Errikos Anagnostou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Moustakidis having to interfere. Errikos Moustakidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Errikos Anagnostou went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Errikos Anagnostou scored 4-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Errikos Moustakidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Iakovos Irinopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Errikos Moustakidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Christos Papaloukas's late challenge caught a Poliani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christos Papaloukas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Christos Papaloukas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Errikos Anagnostou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Vostina BC were the better team. Vostina BC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
