Sotiris Geronimidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaggelos Papanagiotou in the 10th minute of the match. Sotiris Geronimidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lambros Kalikis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Veniamin Kakavetsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lambros Kalikis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 minutes, Spyros Geropanagiotis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LinkinPark and the Elimbos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Spyros Geropanagiotis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes LinkinPark got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Topouzis. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Veniamin Kakavetsis managed to get in a good position for a shot. LinkinPark's supporters rose to their feet, but Veniamin Kakavetsis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some careless play in the Elimbos FC defense, Alexandros Vidalis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Kesanopoulos. The Elimbos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Kesanopoulos should have stopped the shot. The wind increased when Alexandros Vidalis made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Sotiris Geronimidis managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Elimbos FC's Lambros Kalikis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 61 minutes, Lambros Kalikis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elimbos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lambros Kalikis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind LinkinPark's goalkeeper Sotiris Geronimidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, LinkinPark's Sotiris Geronimidis got control of the ball when Lambros Kalikis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sotiris Geronimidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaggelos Papanagiotou in the 72nd minute of play. Alexandros Vidalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
