In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind galaxy's goalkeeper Paraskevas Kokkosalis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fanis Kortselis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, galaxy's Thodoris Seichanidis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos came out of the goal and Panos Skouras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fanis Kortselis during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Kortselis. After having played for 85 minutes, Lambros Kalikis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elimbos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lambros Kalikis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Xenidis in the 92nd minute of play forced galaxy's goalkeeper Paraskevas Kokkosalis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
