Panos Choutos kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Dhonιοka BC's Konstantinos Vouzakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Pavlakoglou in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Poliani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iason Kokkinos to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Themos Pavlakoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantinos Vouzakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savas Kolotoubis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Moustakidis having to interfere. Alexis Markos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexis Markos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Savas Kolotoubis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errikos Moustakidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexis Markos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Errikos Moustakidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Savas Kolotoubis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Takis Giannou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dhonιοka BC's Thomas Kalantzidis got a free kick in the 45th minute. Dhonιοka BC's Konstantinos Vouzakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Pavlakoglou in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Themos Pavlakoglou to make the kick off. Dhonιοka BC's Konstantinos Vouzakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Pavlakoglou in the 51st minute of play. If Anthimos Katsidimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Savas Kolotoubis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Dhonιοka BC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Konstantinos Vouzakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themos Pavlakoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Anthimos Katsidimas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Themos Pavlakoglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstantinos Vouzakis was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Themos Pavlakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantinos Vouzakis having to interfere. Themos Pavlakoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Takis Giannou's late challenge caught a Dhonιοka BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Takis Giannou helped the player get up and apologised. Takis Giannou hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
