In the 6th minute Loukas Vezirgiannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikiforos Papacharalabous saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Xenidis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Panos Platonidis in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giorgos Kesanopoulos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Panos Platonidis struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peristeri A.E. Lambros Kalikis charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lambros Kalikis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lambros Kalikis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Panos Platonidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Lambros Papachantzoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peristeri A.E's supporters rose to their feet, but Lambros Papachantzoulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Kesanopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Kesanopoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Platonidis in the 23rd minute. Nikiforos Papacharalabous took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambros Kalikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panos Platonidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kesanopoulos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Elimbos FC's zone, Stamatis Nikou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Kesanopoulos came out of the goal and Stamatis Nikou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giannis Xenidis during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Elimbos FC's Giannis Xenidis got a free kick in the 39th minute. When Lambros Papachantzoulis came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Peristeri A.E fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lambros Papachantzoulis couldn't finish the play. Panos Platonidiss short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Giorgos Kesanopoulos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Lambros Papachantzoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aimilios Karipidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Elimbos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loukas Vezirgiannis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Platonidis in the 74th minute of play forced Elimbos FC's goalkeeper Giorgos Kesanopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Kesanopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Platonidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Elimbos FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Giannis Xenidis hit a great ball. Panos Platonidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giorgos Kesanopoulos having to make a save. Lambros Papachantzoulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kesanopoulos having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panos Platonidis in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgos Kesanopoulos saved Elimbos FC from getting behind. Panos Platonidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panos Platonidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
