The supporters of INTER FC booed when Elimbos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chatziantoniou Baltas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Kesanopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zinon Liadelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Fanis Farmakidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Elimbos FC's zone, Michalis Kaliris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Kesanopoulos came out of the goal and Michalis Kaliris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stamatis Tsirkos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kesanopoulos having to interfere. Fanis Farmakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elimbos FC's Giorgos Kesanopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinon Liadelis in the 32nd minute of play. If Fanis Farmakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michalis Kaliris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fanis Farmakidis struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Giorgos Kesanopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER FC. Gilbert Månsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kesanopoulos having to interfere. Giorgos Kesanopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michalis Kaliris in the 41st minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zinon Liadelis to make the kick off. The referee ignored INTER FC's protests and gave Michalis Kaliris a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Elimbos FC got a freekick which was hit by Loukas Vezirgiannis. Lambros Kalikis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zacharias Papaiakovou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Fanis Farmakidis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Zinon Liadelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giorgos Kesanopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamatis Tsirkos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Elimbos FC's zone, Zinon Liadelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giorgos Kesanopoulos came out of the goal and Zinon Liadelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. INTER FC's Zacharias Papaiakovou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambros Kalikis in the 98th minute of play. Elimbos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though INTER FC had controlled the match.
