Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Savas Kolotoubis got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Vostina BC's Apostolis Kassianidis got control of the ball when Alexis Markos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Alkaios Papadimakis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Konstantinos Vouzakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alkaios Papadimakis hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Markos Papoutsas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vostina BC's zone, Thomas Kalantzidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostolis Kassianidis came out of the goal and Thomas Kalantzidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Savas Kolotoubis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Apostolis Kassianidis came out and tried to block the shot, but Savas Kolotoubis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Savas Kolotoubis in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apostolis Kassianidis saved Vostina BC from getting behind. If Alexis Markos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Errikos Anagnostou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vostina BC's Iakovos Irinopoulos in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dhonιοka BC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Alexis Markos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dhonιοka BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Markos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Savas Kolotoubis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes, Valentinos Violidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vostina BC and the Dhonιοka BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valentinos Violidis kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Iakovos Irinopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Konstantinos Vouzakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Errikos Anagnostou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 played minutes Dhonιοka BC got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Dellas. When Iakovos Irinopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Vostina BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iakovos Irinopoulos couldn't finish the play. Konstantinos Vouzakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iakovos Irinopoulos in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Thomas Kalantzidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Kalantzidis during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Dhonιοka BC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Thomas Kalantzidis hit a great ball. Konstantinos Vouzakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iakovos Irinopoulos in the 77th minute. Thomas Kalantzidis was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Dhonιοka BC's Thomas Kalantzidis got a free kick in the 79th minute. Savas Kolotoubis's late challenge caught a Vostina BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Savas Kolotoubis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Savas Kolotoubis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iakovos Irinopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dhonιοka BC's Konstantinos Vouzakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Dhonιοka BC from getting a goal against them.
