After 6 played minutes Agia Sofia got a freekick which was hit by Isidoros Zotalis. In the 13th match minute, Agia Sofia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charalambos Stenos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ROZ FOUSTITSES getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Charalambos Bountouris hit a great ball. Omiros Kyriakidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Panos Stergiatos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Omiros Kyriakidis ran back to his position shaking his head. Sakis Tsigas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paris Lemonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charalambos Stenos's late challenge caught a ROZ FOUSTITSES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charalambos Stenos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ROZ FOUSTITSES booed when Agia Sofia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charalambos Stenos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, ROZ FOUSTITSES's Charilaos Tsipas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Paris Lemonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Omiros Kyriakidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agia Sofia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omiros Kyriakidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Minas Matzios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Stergiatos having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paris Lemonis to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of ROZ FOUSTITSES booed when Agia Sofia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoros Zotalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Minas Matzios struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Panos Stergiatos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agia Sofia. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Paris Lemonis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROZ FOUSTITSES's supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Lemonis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sakis Tsigas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Manolis Paltoudopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolis Paltoudopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitris Paraschakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Sakis Tsigas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Agia Sofia's zone, Paris Lemonis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakis Tsigas came out of the goal and Paris Lemonis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Agia Sofia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
