The Vrisoϊles BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thrasivoulos Mermigis should have stopped the shot. Thrasivoulos Mermigis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manos Valkanis went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Α.Ο. Σύρου FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Stamatis Fragos hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Vrisoϊles BC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermis Vasilomichelakis came free, but Thrasivoulos Mermigis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Paschalis Valassis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Manos Valkanis made a precise shot to the right of Thrasivoulos Mermigis. Vrisoϊles BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Paschalis Valassis took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thrasivoulos Mermigis. Thrasivoulos Mermigis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Thrasivoulos Mermigis came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's Stamatis Fragos. But to his dismay, Stamatis Fragos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Ermis Vasilomichelakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thrasivoulos Mermigis having to interfere. Stamatis Fragos scored 1-6 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thrasivoulos Mermigis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermis Vasilomichelakis to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Aris Lakerdas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Α.Ο. Σύρου FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aris Lakerdas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thrasivoulos Mermigis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stamatis Fragos in the 54th minute of the match. Ermis Vasilomichelakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Thrasivoulos Mermigis made a huge save. Emmanouil Michaloliakos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Fivos Kolokithopoulos scored 1-7 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thrasivoulos Mermigis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thrasivoulos Mermigis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermis Vasilomichelakis in the 68th minute. Thrasivoulos Mermigis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stamatis Fragos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 69 minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Vrisoϊles BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Someridis to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Stamatis Fragos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thrasivoulos Mermigis. That made the score 1-9 in the 77 minute of play. With a little luck, Vrisoϊles BC's Thrasivoulos Mermigis got control of the ball when Ermis Vasilomichelakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thrasivoulos Mermigis was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Manos Valkanis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Manos Valkanis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-11. A hard shot 92 in the game by Ermis Vasilomichelakis from a close distance when the talented Thrasivoulos Mermigis managed to make a qualified save. Vrisoϊles BC's players were relieved. Thrasivoulos Mermigis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamatis Fragos, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thrasivoulos Mermigis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manos Valkanis in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Α.Ο. Σύρου FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vrisoϊles BC throughout the match.
