When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Kostas Briakos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emmanouil Matsoukis. When Andrei Măgură came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the INTER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrei Măgură couldn't finish the play. Emmanouil Matsoukis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Măgură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostas Briakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the game, INTER's Kostas Briakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emmanouil Matsoukis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Kostas Briakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markos Kalabalikis might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emmanouil Matsoukis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markos Kalabalikis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th match minute, INTER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markos Kalabalikis to maneuver through the defense. Daniil Evaggellatoss short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Savas Kokkinos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kostas Briakos in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emmanouil Matsoukis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th match minute, Sfikia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Tselikas to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Kostas Briakos put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Emmanouil Matsoukis. 32 minutes into the match, Sfikia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Briakos came free, but Emmanouil Matsoukis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Kostas Tselikas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emmanouil Matsoukis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Măgură in the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Tasos Kostenoglou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sfikia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER the free kick. The supporters of INTER booed when Sfikia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tasos Kostenoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michalis Sardelas in the 46th minute of play forced Sfikia FC's goalkeeper Emmanouil Matsoukis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sfikia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. INTER were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniil Evaggellatos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrei Măgură scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emmanouil Matsoukis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Kostas Briakos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emmanouil Matsoukis was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. A collision led to Sfikia FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Kostas Briakos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. During the 69th minute of the match Tasos Kostenoglou completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tasos Kostenoglou a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Sfikia FC's Tasos Kostenoglou got a free kick in the 69th minute. Kostas Briakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Emmanouil Matsoukis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sfikia FC's Vaios Anastasatos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sakis Machlas in the 80 minute of the game. With a little luck, Sfikia FC's Emmanouil Matsoukis got control of the ball when Kostas Briakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as INTER's Giannis Siamantouras slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emmanouil Matsoukis. That made the score 0-7 after 85 minutes of play. Sfikia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Giannis Siamantouras scored to the left of an out of position Emmanouil Matsoukis, making the score, 0-8. When the final whistle sounded INTER left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sfikia FC.
