LIONS's Aris Nioplias managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Normand Hardin in the 26 minute of the game. Nanak Nasih made an important save on a dangerous shot by Themos Politis in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, LIONS's Themos Politis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nanak Nasih narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Argyroupoli BC's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Nioplias came free, but Nanak Nasih reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Loukianos Krassas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giannis Ifantidis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Apostolis Ioannou during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukianos Krassas in the 47th minute of play forced LIONS's goalkeeper Giannis Ifantidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Loukianos Krassas to strike the kick off in the second half. Nanak Nasih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Politis in the 55th minute of the match. The throw-in from Dionysis Kasimopoulos in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LIONS's Apostolis Ioannou. Nanak Nasih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Politis in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, LIONS's goalkeeper Giannis Ifantidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimiros Efthimidis. In the 69th match minute, Argyroupoli BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thalis Papadakos to maneuver through the defense. LIONS's Themos Politis got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes LIONS got a freekick which was hit by Apostolis Ioannou. LIONS's attentive Sakis Kyritsis managed to snatch the ball when Normand Hardin made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Nanak Nasih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aris Nioplias in the 91st minute of play. LIONS's attentive Lambis Strilakos managed to snatch the ball when Normand Hardin made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Argyroupoli BC's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Politis came free, but Nanak Nasih reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Argyroupoli BC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for LIONS.
