Giannis Patrinos charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, ΘΥΕΛΛΑ ΧΑΛΚΕΙΟΥ's Babbis Marmatakis got a free kick in the 9th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christos Vasakis couldn't finish the play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kostas Lemonis made a kick off. Giorgos Makrikostas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kostas Lemonis went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute, Sotiris Vourtzoumis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christos Vasakis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. ΘΥΕΛΛΑ ΧΑΛΚΕΙΟΥ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 84 minutes into the match, Kostas Lemonis notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of ΘΥΕΛΛΑ ΧΑΛΚΕΙΟΥ's Giorgos Makrikostas. Giorgos Makrikostas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, ΘΥΕΛΛΑ ΧΑΛΚΕΙΟΥ's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Kaklamanos came free, but Giorgos Makrikostas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Patrinos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Giorgos Makrikostas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Lemonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Charis Papaikonomous short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Wladyslaw Brudzisz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The PAOK FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ΘΥΕΛΛΑ ΧΑΛΚΕΙΟΥ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
