The supporters of Chelsea F.C booed when Π.Α.Ο.Κ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iason Bochonis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, Chelsea F.C's Christos Kechagias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Apostolis Kartsolis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chelsea F.C reached it. Kyriakos Tsiolis kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Vaggelis Antoniou scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Babbis Maltezakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Babbis Maltezakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Antoniou, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute Vaggelis Antoniou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Maltezakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Π.Α.Ο.Κ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Louis Kastakis in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Pantelis Skliros notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Π.Α.Ο.Κ's Apostolis Kartsolis. Apostolis Kartsolis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Chelsea F.C fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Chelsea F.C's Stavros Tsiantakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stavros Tsiantakis in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apostolis Kartsolis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stavros Tsiantakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Apostolis Kartsolis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Stavros Tsiantakis sped through Π.Α.Ο.Κ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Apostolis Kartsolis. Stavros Tsiantakis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Vaggelis Antoniou struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Babbis Maltezakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Π.Α.Ο.Κ. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stavros Tsiantakis in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apostolis Kartsolis saved Π.Α.Ο.Κ from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vaggelis Antoniou to strike the kick off in the second half. Apostolis Kartsolis came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Chelsea F.C's Christos Kechagias. But to his dismay, Christos Kechagias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Vaggelis Antoniou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Maltezakis having to interfere. The supporters of Chelsea F.C booed when Π.Α.Ο.Κ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofilos Serpanos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Vaggelis Antoniou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Π.Α.Ο.Κ's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaggelis Antoniou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Babbis Maltezakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Stavros Tsiantakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Savas Chaniotakis made a precise shot to the right of Apostolis Kartsolis. Π.Α.Ο.Κ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosif Kastanias in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Babbis Maltezakis saved Chelsea F.C from getting behind. Π.Α.Ο.Κ's Apostolis Kartsolis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stavros Tsiantakis in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Stavros Tsiantakis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apostolis Kartsolis. Stavros Tsiantakis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. In the 90th match minute, Chelsea F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anestis Bougiouris to maneuver through the defense. Iosif Kastanias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Maltezakis having to interfere. Babbis Maltezakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Antoniou in the 93rd minute of the match.
