In the 4th minute, Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cyprus Eagles AFC's goalkeeper Pavlos Fotiadis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kostas Georgakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nontas Markas went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute, Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cyprus Eagles AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Nikos Pathekas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Melidhokhσri BC's Kostas Georgakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Pathekas in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes, Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Melidhokhσri BC's Kostas Georgakis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Nikos Pathekas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cyprus Eagles AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pavlos Fotiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theocharis Premetis in the 53rd minute of play. Kostas Georgakis came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cyprus Eagles AFC's Nontas Markas. But to his dismay, Nontas Markas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. The supporters of Melidhokhσri BC booed when Cyprus Eagles AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babbis Papoutsakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kostas Georgakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Melidhokhσri BC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Valerios Kefalos hit a great ball. Kostas Georgakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Katselis in the 66th minute of play. Melidhokhσri BC's Kostas Georgakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Melidhokhσri BC from getting a goal against them. After 69 minutes, Nikos Pathekas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cyprus Eagles AFC and the Melidhokhσri BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Cyprus Eagles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Pathekas. With an all-out effort, Cyprus Eagles AFC's Kostas Georgakis threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kostas Georgakis was a little too slow when Nikos Pathekas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-9. Valerios Kefalos's late challenge caught a Cyprus Eagles AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valerios Kefalos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Melidhokhσri BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valerios Kefalos to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Cyprus Eagles AFC's Nontas Markas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kostas Georgakis. Kostas Georgakis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-10. Nontas Markas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kostas Georgakis came out and tried to block the shot, but Nontas Markas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-11 in the 84th minute. Konstantinos Ikonomopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Melidhokhσri BC defense, Leonidas Stathis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Georgakis. The Melidhokhσri BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Georgakis should have stopped the shot. Kostas Georgakis made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Leonidas Stathis sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the game, Fotis Paraschos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melidhokhσri BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cyprus Eagles AFC the free kick. When the final whistle sounded Cyprus Eagles AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Melidhokhσri BC.
