After a rather tough play, Dragonflies's Dimitris Kavvadias got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Argyris Karapialis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selν FCasd's supporters rose to their feet, but Argyris Karapialis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Meirelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Selν FCasd's Argyris Karapialis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elano Meirelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dragonflies's zone, Tasos Chatzoudis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Meirelles came out of the goal and Tasos Chatzoudis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fragiskos Sarantopoulos's late challenge caught a Dragonflies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fragiskos Sarantopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dragonflies booed when Selν FCasd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fragiskos Sarantopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstantinos Voulgaridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Iaveris, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Urbano Camerino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Fragiskos Sarantopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elano Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Konstantinos Voulgaridis made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Gilberto Brun sent off a good shot on target. Fragiskos Sarantopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selν FCasd's Konstantinos Voulgaridis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Selν FCasd from getting a goal against them. In the 30thth minute of the game Spyros Tsitouras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragonflies's Elano Meirelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Sakis Karapialis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selν FCasd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragonflies the free kick. Sakis Karapialis hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Spyros Tsitouras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Meirelles having to interfere. Dimitris Iaveris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Konstantinos Voulgaridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Spyros Tsitouras made a kick off. Konstantinos Voulgaridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Brun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Selν FCasd's Konstantinos Voulgaridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Brun in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Argyris Karapialis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Selν FCasd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Argyris Karapialis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Dimitris Kavvadias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantinos Voulgaridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Dragonflies's Dimitris Kavvadias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Konstantinos Voulgaridis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Konstantinos Voulgaridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Brun in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Dragonflies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Labrakoglou to maneuver through the defense. Selν FCasd's Fragiskos Sarantopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Spyros Tsitouras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Elano Meirelles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 83 minutes into the game, Urbano Camerino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragonflies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selν FCasd the free kick. After 83 played minutes Dragonflies got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Camerino. Elano Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Argyris Karapialis in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Iaveris in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konstantinos Voulgaridis saved Selν FCasd from getting behind.
