After 30th play minutes Vaggelis Lemonis shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Elano Meirelles and just under the crossbar into goal. Dragonflies's Sandro de Souza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Απόλλων Λάρισας. Vaggelis Lemoniss short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Elano Meirelles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gilberto Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragonflies's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Brun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fokas Thanos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaggelis Lemonis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elano Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Elano Meirelles managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Απόλλων Λάρισας's Vaggelis Lemonis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaggelis Lemonis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vaggelis Lemonis in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elano Meirelles saved Dragonflies from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Dragonflies's zone, Vaggelis Lemonis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Meirelles came out of the goal and Vaggelis Lemonis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vaggelis Lemonis during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
