Spectators: 6860 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 10) RIO FC's Akis Koukoulekis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Ignatios Meletis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RIO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sokratis Tsagarakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Cícero de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7thth minute of the game Ignatios Meletis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saronicos's Cícero de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of RIO FC booed when Saronicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Kabantais didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Saronicos's goal looked a bit too open when Ignatios Meletis came free, but Cícero de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignatios Meletis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cícero de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Saronicos's Nontas Kanavopoulos got a free kick in the 17th minute. Cícero de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akis Koukoulekis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignatios Meletis in the 20th minute of play forced Saronicos's goalkeeper Cícero de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ignatios Meletis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cícero de Barros was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Cícero de Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Ignatios Meletis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cícero de Barros. Saronicos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignatios Meletis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Sokratis Tsagarakis notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Saronicos's Cícero de Barros. Cícero de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Akis Koukoulekis put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Cícero de Barros. In the 42nd minute, Anastasios Mamais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

With a little luck, Saronicos's Cícero de Barros got control of the ball when Anastasios Mamais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cícero de Barros made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Anastasios Mamais sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Lambis Zouvelekis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 minutes Saronicos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A hard shot 61 in the game by Ignatios Meletis from a close distance when the talented Cícero de Barros managed to make a qualified save. Saronicos's players were relieved. After 63 minutes of play, RIO FC's Ignatios Meletis made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cícero de Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Akis Koukoulekis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cícero de Barros having to make a save. Cícero de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignatios Meletis in the 70th minute of play. RIO FC's Avraam Pedoulakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Errikos Kotsias in the 72nd minute of play. Anastasios Mamais struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Cícero de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIO FC. Filippos Mimidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cícero de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Saronicos got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Kabantais. The long shot by Demis Tassakos in the 87th minute really tested Cícero de Barros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Filippos Mimidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filippos Mimidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over RIO FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Saronicos throughout the match.
