Petros Sarris came out of the goal and Iraklis Kanelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petros Sarris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zinon Meletakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koriskαdhes BC's Sonny Muttaqien got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petros Passas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markos Pantoflidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandros Katsoulakis got free with Petros Passas in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Takis Kouroupetroglou kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Koriskαdhes BC booed when Piryion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimosthenis Ntovas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimosthenis Ntovas charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dimosthenis Ntovas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Piryion FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dimosthenis Ntovas hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Zinon Meletakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Koriskαdhes BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinon Meletakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Piryion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iraklis Kanelos came free, but Petros Sarris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petros Sarris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zinon Meletakis in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 57th minute, Zinon Meletakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 played minutes Piryion FC got a freekick which was hit by Markos Pantoflidis. Petros Sarris made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Iraklis Kanelos sent off a good shot on target. Dimosthenis Ntovas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Zinon Meletakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zinon Meletakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petros Sarris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zinon Meletakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Iraklis Kanelos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petros Sarris having to make a save. When Dimosthenis Ntovas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. In the 72nd minute, Dimosthenis Ntovas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zinon Meletakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Petros Sarris made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zinon Meletakis got free with Petros Sarris in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Koriskαdhes BC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Koriskαdhes BC's Zinon Meletakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zinon Meletakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Petros Sarris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piryion FC's goalkeeper Petros Sarris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Koriskαdhes BC played a much better game than Piryion FC and deserved their victory. The Piryion FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
