Spectators: 8010 (Terracing: 6009, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bruno Fernandes started the match with the kick off. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS booed when Mantoϊdion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charis Paliogiannos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Mantoϊdion got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Fernandes. Bruno Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PANATHINAIKOS's zone, Bruno Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ken Troxler came out of the goal and Bruno Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charis Paliogiannos scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ken Troxler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Fernandes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 33rd playminute. A collision led to Mantoϊdion getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Charis Paliogiannos hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerasimos Karalis during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerasimos Karalis hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Mert Günok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theocharis Kottikas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mert Günok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theocharis Kottikas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theocharis Kottikas in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mert Günok prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theocharis Kottikas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS's Giannis Vourlidas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ken Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Nikolas Markomichalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mert Günok made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ntinos Giannakopoulos sent off a good shot on target. PANATHINAIKOS's Theocharis Kottikas shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mert Günok but with some difficulty. Orestis Gerontidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ken Troxler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikolas Markomichalis charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikolas Markomichalis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Mantoϊdion got a freekick which was hit by Nikolas Markomichalis. Ntinos Giannakopoulos struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mert Günok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PANATHINAIKOS. Ntinos Giannakopoulos took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mert Günok. Mert Günok dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mantoϊdion were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of PANATHINAIKOS for a fine match.
