The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lefkopetra FC's Filippos Toris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Lefkopetra FC from getting a goal against them. Mert Günok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolf Luuk in the 4th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chatziantoniou Masouras during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lefkopetra FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Chatziantoniou Masouras hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match Panos Kalamaras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mert Günok showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adolf Luuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mert Günok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mantoϊdion getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Charis Paliogiannos hit a great ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mantoϊdion's goalkeeper Mert Günok, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute Lefkopetra FC were awarded a corner. Iason Stavrakopoulos went to the cornerflag to take it. Adolf Luuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mert Günok having to interfere. Mert Günok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Stavrakopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Mantoϊdion defense, Iason Stavrakopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mert Günok. The Mantoϊdion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mert Günok should have stopped the shot. In the 31st match minute, Lefkopetra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chatziantoniou Masouras to maneuver through the defense. Lefkopetra FC's Filippos Toris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Lefkopetra FC from getting a goal against them. Panos Kalamaras charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panos Kalamaras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mantoϊdion's Bruno Fernandes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Stavrakopoulos in the 44th minute of play forced Mantoϊdion's goalkeeper Mert Günok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Iason Stavrakopoulos made the kick off in the second half. If Bruno Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mantoϊdion's Mert Günok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Stavrakopoulos in the 59th minute of play. Mert Günok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iason Stavrakopoulos in the 63rd minute of the match. Bruno Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippos Toris having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolf Luuk got free with Mert Günok in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adolf Luuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mantoϊdion's Bruno Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Charis Paliogiannos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lefkopetra FC's Filippos Toris. Filippos Toris was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iason Stavrakopoulos scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mert Günok, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adolf Luuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Mert Günok made a huge save. Thomas Stratsianis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. John-Einar Braut didn't quite understand what happened when in the 96 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Mantoϊdion were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
