After recieving a nice pass, Káto Spílaion's Christos Telakis tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΔΡΕΠΑΝΟΥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İsmail Orhun Yeltekin to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Káto Spílaion's Roger Holmberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When Michalis Saveris fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΔΡΕΠΑΝΟΥ's protests and gave Michalis Saveris a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΔΡΕΠΑΝΟΥ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Michalis Saveris hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Káto Spílaion defense, Przemyslaw Penkalski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikitas Manousaridis. The Káto Spílaion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikitas Manousaridis should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Przemyslaw Penkalski in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikitas Manousaridis saved Káto Spílaion from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Balaban Ergünay got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Per-Olof Thedin fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Káto Spílaion's protests and gave Per-Olof Thedin a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Káto Spílaion's Nikitas Manousaridis got control of the ball when Balaban Ergünay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Holmberg was the one to do the kick off. Per-Olof Thedin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Paulo Godinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balaban Ergünay in the 58th minute of play forced Káto Spílaion's goalkeeper Nikitas Manousaridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Ovidiu Aluchei put in a rough tackle. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. In the 75th minute, Spyros Kreziadis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Káto Spílaion's Nikitas Manousaridis didn't even have to move. Roger Holmberg took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Godinho. Paulo Godinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Holmberg in the 83rd minute of play forced ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΔΡΕΠΑΝΟΥ's goalkeeper Paulo Godinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İsmail Orhun Yeltekin kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match.
